PEAK Game Guide
This guide aims to help new players quickly get started with PEAK, understand the core mechanics, and successfully complete your first mountain climbing adventure.

🏔️ Game Objective: Reach the Peak
Your core objective is simple: as a scout stranded on a mysterious island, you must do everything possible to stay alive and reach the peak of the highest mountain range at the island's center, then use a signal flare to call for rescue. This journey is full of danger—you need to manage resources, deal with harsh environments, and cleverly use your equipment.
📊 Understanding Your Status Bar
Status management is key to survival. Your screen will display a series of statuses, here are the most important ones:
💪 Stamina
Your core resource. Climbing, sprinting, and jumping all consume stamina. Running out of stamina will cause you to fall from walls. Grabbing pitons or resting on flat ground can restore stamina.
🍎 Hunger
Increases over time. High hunger levels will continuously drain your maximum stamina. You need to eat food to reduce hunger.
🌡️ Cold & Heat
Accumulates in specific environments (like high mountains, volcanic craters). When reaching the limit, it will continuously damage you. You need to use specific items (like hand warmers, umbrellas) or hide in shelters to eliminate these statuses.
🩹 Injury
Accumulates from falling from heights or being attacked by dangerous creatures, significantly reducing your maximum stamina. Requires bandages or first aid kits to treat.
☠️ Poison
Contact with toxic plants or creatures (like poisonous mushrooms, jellyfish) causes poisoning, continuously reducing your health. Requires antidotes or specific herbs to treat.
😴 Drowsy
Accumulates from consuming certain items (like energy drink side effects) or being hit by specific attacks. When reaching the limit, you'll be forced to sleep and become defenseless. Energy drinks can instantly clear drowsiness.
🏖️ Your First Climb: From Shore to Tropics
Your journey begins at the Shore, which is relatively safe and an excellent place to familiarize yourself with the controls.
🏖️ Shore Phase
Things to do:
- • Search luggage: Suitcases are scattered around the crash site, containing key equipment and food for the early game.
- • Collect basic resources: Crack open coconuts for food and water; gather red/yellow crisp berries to deal with hunger.
- • Beware of hazards: Avoid jellyfish and sea urchins in the water—they will poison you.
🌴 Tropics Phase
When you reach the first campfire and take a brief rest, you'll enter the Tropics area.
New challenges:
- • Vertical terrain: There are many trees and vines to climb here.
- • New resources: You'll find more effective foods like King berries and Banana berries, as well as beehives hidden in trees.
- • More dangerous enemies: Beware of explosive yellow spores and ticks that will silently attach to you.
🎒 Core Equipment & Usage Tips
Here are some key pieces of equipment and how to use them:
🎒 Backpack
A must-have item. It allows you to carry 4 additional items, greatly improving your resource management capability.
🪢 Rope Spool
The most important mobility tool. You can anchor one end of the rope to a wall, then lower the rope to reach lower areas or create paths for teammates. Each rope spool is 12.5 meters long.
⛏️ Piton
Another key climbing tool. Drive it into rock faces to create a permanent grip point for resting. When doing long vertical climbs, alternating piton use is key to stamina recovery.
🍳 Portable Stove
Cooked food has significantly enhanced effects (usually doubling hunger recovery and providing extra stamina) and can eliminate toxicity. Cooking by a campfire or using a portable stove is a core technique for turning low-value ingredients into high-efficiency supplies.
🤝 The Advantages of Cooperation
While single-player is possible, cooperating with friends can greatly reduce the difficulty:

Mutual rescue: Friends can revive you when you're unconscious, avoiding direct game failure.

Division of labor: One person handles pathfinding while another handles supply transport, doubling efficiency.
